What is the Smart City Street Light Conversion & Evolving Technology Guidebook?
The proposed guidebook will identify available LED smart technology, the features available, and how those features help advance both the City of Saratoga Springs safety and sustainability goals and CDTC's New Visions core principles.
This project is being funded by the Capital District Transportation Committee (CDTC)'s Smart Communities Program. CDTC is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Capital District. The CDTC carries out federal requirements for cooperative transportation planning and programming within the metropolitan area surrounding the Albany-Schenectady-Troy and Saratoga Springs urbanized areas.
The project is being managed by the City of Saratoga Springs and CDTC staff with technical assistance from Planning4Places, LLC and International Nighttime Design Initiative.
